Honor the Fallen 5K & GORUCK

Benefiting Memories of Honor

Run. Walk. Ruck. Remember.

Every name we carry belongs to someone who was loved—and a family who will never forget. Join us to help make sure their community remembers, too.

On Saturday, May 8, 2027, bring your family, friends, coworkers, or church group to The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee. Walk at your own pace, run the 5K, or join the ruck. You don’t need a military connection to be part of this community.

Honor the Fallen 5K is a fundraiser for Memories of Honor. Event proceeds support programs including Boots of Honor Memorial, which keeps the names of fallen service members in public remembrance, and Project EPIC Forward, our active-retreat program connecting surviving families and veterans through shared challenges and camaraderie.

A new location. A tradition that continues.

The Grove has been home to Honor the Fallen 5K since our first event in 2016. With construction underway, we’re moving to Harlinsdale for 2027. We’re grateful for those years at The Grove and look forward to gathering together in Franklin.

Registration opens Veterans Day—November 11, 2026. Bring your people. Help us honor theirs.

What’s Included in Your 5K Registration?

  • Fallen Hero Memorial Bib: Carry the name of a fallen service member as you walk, run, or ruck.
  • Event T-Shirt: A keepsake to wear beyond event day. Register before the shirt cutoff.
  • Finisher Medal: Commemorate your finish and the person you honored.

A Beautiful Place to Go the Distance

Experience Franklin’s historic horse country on foot at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. This 200-acre former horse farm offers a scenic backdrop for a morning outdoors, with the character and open space that make this Tennessee landmark special.

Our closed, cross-country-style 5K welcomes runners, walkers, and ruckers on a soft-surface, mixed-terrain course. Set your pace, take in the surroundings, and enjoy the miles—even your four-legged companion can join you. Leashed dogs are welcome!

Where Your Registration & Donations Go

At Memories of Honor, we believe in radical transparency. Because our presenting sponsors cover the race overhead, 100% of your registration fee directly funds these two programs:

  • Boots of Honor Memorial
    • Ensuring they are never forgotten. Your support helps maintain and transport our traveling memorial of 7,470+ individual combat boots. Each boot represents a service member lost since 9/11, adorned with their photo and story. We bring this "Sacred Ground" to the public square to ensure their names are spoken, and their sacrifices are honored by all who pass by.
  • Project EPIC Forward
    • Movement is medicine. Healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in community. Project EPIC Forward leads Gold Star families and veterans through endurance challenges and athletic events. We bridge the gap between military and civilian communities through shared sweat, grit, and the reminder that no one has to walk—or run—the path to healing alone.

ABOUT MEMORIES OF HONOR

We create living memorials to honor those lost during or due to service so their memory will live on for generations. We strive to provide meaningful experiences for the bereaved and an opportunity for the community to pay their respects and learn from these stories of courage, service, and sacrifice.

Unlike other organizations that provide tangible support like housing or scholarships to families of fallen service members, Memories of Honor offers something equally vital but intangible. We ensure that the service, sacrifice, and life of their loved ones are never forgotten.  We create opportunities for the public to learn about these heroes, engage with their families, and make new memories, even in their absence. Our goal is to provide surviving families with a sense of belonging, connection, and meaningful ways to honor and remember their loved ones, while gently reminding Americans that freedom isn’t free.

HELP MAKE EVERY STEP COUNT

Event sponsors help cover the cost of Honor the Fallen 5K so registration dollars and donations can support Boots of Honor Memorial and Project EPIC Forward.
